Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Nasiru, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the College of Food Science and Engineering at Bohai University, Jinzhou, China. He previously served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Nanjing, China (2022–2026), and as a Lecturer in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Federal University Dutsin-Ma, Nigeria (2017–2023). In addition to his Ph.D., Dr. Nasiru holds an M.Tech. in Agricultural Process & Food Engineering from Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences (SHUATS), India, and a B.Eng. in Agricultural Engineering from Bayero University, Kano, Nigeria. He is actively engaged in advanced non-thermal food processing research at Bohai University. His work focuses on the application of cold plasma (non-thermal plasma) technologies for food sterilization, preservation, aflatoxin decontamination, microbial inactivation, and protein structure modification to enhance food safety, quality, and functionality. Dr. Nasiru has published over 50 SCI-indexed papers, with many as first or corresponding author, along with several book chapters and one authorized national invention patent. He serves on the editorial boards of prominent international journals, including Foods (MDPI) as Editorial Board Member and Frontiers in Food Science and Technology (Food Packaging and Preservation Section) as Associate Editor. He is also a member of international societies such as the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT). Dr. Nasiru’s current research focuses on developing low-temperature plasma technologies to produce safer, high-value agricultural and food products while combating foodborne pathogens, toxins, and quality deterioration.

穆斯塔法·穆罕默德·纳斯如博士(Dr. Mustapha Muhammad Nasiru, Ph.D.)是渤海大学食品科学与工程学院副教授,任职于中国锦州。他曾于2022–2026年在江苏省农业科学院(南京)担任博士后研究员,并于2017–2023年在尼日利亚联邦大学Dutsin-Ma食品科学与技术系担任讲师。除博士学位外,纳斯如博士还拥有印度Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences(SHUATS)农业加工与食品工程专业硕士学位(M.Tech.),以及尼日利亚Bayero University, Kano农业工程专业学士学位(B.Eng.)。

他在渤海大学主要从事先进的非热食品加工技术研究,重点研究冷等离子体(非热等离子体)技术在食品杀菌、保鲜、黄曲霉毒素脱除、微生物灭活以及蛋白质结构改性等方面的应用,以提升食品安全性、品质和功能特性。纳斯如博士已发表50余篇SCI收录论文,其中多篇为第一作者或通讯作者,此外还发表多篇书章,并拥有一项已授权的国家发明专利。他目前担任多个国际知名期刊的编委,包括MDPI期刊《Foods》的编辑委员会成员,以及《Frontiers in Food Science and Technology》(食品包装与保存专栏)的副主编。他还是食品科技学会(Institute of Food Technologists, IFT)等国际学术组织的成员。

纳斯如博士目前的研究重点是开发低温等离子体技术,用于生产更安全、更高附加值的农产品和食品,同时有效控制食源性病原体、毒素及品质劣变问题。
