9月11日下午，渤海大学国际交流学院2013级新生开学典礼在图书馆学术报告厅隆重举行。渤海大学副校长励建荣、渤海大学韩国分院院长卢正培（韩国籍）、研究生学院副院长李春、招生办公室副主任赵真华、国际交流学院领导班子及全体任课教师共同出席了此次盛典。
励建荣副校长全程用英语发表讲话，表达了对新同学的欢迎和寄语。陈雷院长发表迎新致辞，对2013级新生的到来表示欢迎并提出了殷切的要求和希望。姚晓波老师用“博晓古今，学贯中西”的箴言来勉励13级全体新生，并且对本科生和研究生提出了不同的要求。
当日晚7时，“国际Family，We Want You”之国际交流学院迎新晚会在音乐厅隆重举行。韩国分院院长卢正培先生及国际交流学院领导班子出席了本次晚会。
晚会在充满青春与活力的开场舞中开幕，一曲悠扬的《茉莉花》将我们带入了典雅、宁静的音乐世界，沁人心脾。由多个国家的留学生带来的中外歌曲联唱让在场的学生体会到了不同文化的魅力，更有韩国分院的同学们带来激情洋溢的现代舞《Gentleman》掀起了晚会的又一个高潮。国际交流学院张吉阳同学演唱了一首《流浪记》，唱出了在外漂泊学子的心声。“古筝与钢琴起飞，秋水共长天一色”的乐器连奏更是使大家领略到了中国古典文化的独特魅力。
整个开学典礼暨迎新晚会异彩纷呈，气氛热烈，充分展示了国际交流学院的风采和特色，展现了渤大人的精神。最后晚会在以展现多元文化的留学生舞蹈《五洲欢腾》中结束。

Good afternoon! Dear Students,
Congratulating you be students of Bohai University! Welcome you to Bohai University! Huan Yong ham nida to Bohai Dei Hag!
Bohai University was established in 1950. There are more then 25,000 students in this University. The International exchanger College has the major of Chinese international education for undergraduate and Postgraduate.
There are 594 students in the International exchanger College. It that includs 205 undergraduates, 85 Postgraduates and 304 overseas students. There are 25 faculties in this college.
I am glad to have 140 new students here today. Including 59 undergraduates, 45 Postgraduates and 36 students from over seas. Welcome You, everybody!
Dear students. The coming several years is very important for you. When I was a scholar in USA 10 years ago. I remembered there are some words sculptured on the wall of library in the University. They are Moral character, Academic (Remember, Discover, Invent), Communication and Leadership. I think these words are very important for you too.
I graduated from Zhejiang University. She is one of the top three Universities in China. Our former president, famous meteorologist, professor Zhu KeZhen
I also want to ask you two questions today:“ What do you should do in Bohai University in next 4 years, and What kind of person do you want to be in the future?”.
Only one thing you should do, that is studying hard, learning Chinese culture, spending your happy time, making friends and mentors. I hope you to find your Successful life by yourself. Beginning from here, Bohai University!

渤海大学成立于1950年，现有在校本科生和研究生25000多名。国际交流学院设有对外汉语专业，面向海内外招收本科生和研究生。目前国际交流学院有25位教师和594位同学，其中本科生205位、研究生85位、留学生304位。
今天我非常高兴地在这里和140位新生见面，你们当中有本科生59位、研究生45位、留学生36位。
